My colour consulting process is thoughtfully designed to provide you with a comprehensive and personalized experience. Below is a guide (but not limited to) that services are provided when engaging The Coastal Home Colour Design.

1. Initial Paid Design Consultation -  (online or *in-person) : This is an important first step to get a full understanding of the scope of your project and delve deeper into completed responses from a pre-consult questionnaire. We'll discuss your design goals and preferences, and uncover an initial design direction. This will be a time to share inspirational images, and drawings for me to prepare pricing and colour solutions.

Onsite meetings may include an analysis of the site, architectural features, lighting conditions, streetscape, other finishes, landscaping, and photos as required. The initial consultation session allows me to create a tailored colour strategy that aligns with your vision.  

 

*Consultations are conducted by phone, video conference (e.g. zoom meeting) or in person*

2. Priced Design Solutions: Following our consultation, I will prepare a tailored proposal/quotation with the flexibility to select a value-priced colour solution that best suits your needs and budget. In the event of a new build or full renovation, a number of scheduled consultations may be required.   Colour Solutions Package Options may include, and are not limited to:

• Tailored Colour Selections: A4/A5 paint samples will be ordered and delivered to your nominated address. Samples are provided for you to put up around the home's interior or exterior to review at different times of the day and in various weather conditions. This will ensure that you are satisfied with your selections.

• Detailed Documentation - A detailed proposal presentation containing detailed explanations of how each choice complements your design goals.  

​

• Sample Finishes Selections: Explore finishes in real life with physical samples. Depending on the chosen pricing option,  you'll receive physical samples of carpet, flooring, and kitchen colours to review and keep.  Observe how various shades interact with paint, lighting, and decor.  (carpet/flooring samples will be subject to client budget, location and supplier availability. Visits to local stores may be required for viewing)

 

• Concept Moodboard(s) - A visual concept of how colour selections, finishes and/or decor & soft furnishings could look together. This may be accompanied with selected items, shopping links, product pricing and where to purchase.

• 3D Exterior Paint Overlays : Elevate your vision with detailed 3D images that bring your colour selections to life. Visualize options of your exterior's transformation before it happens for peace of mind.

• Detailed Specification Report: Receive a comprehensive report detailing all recommended colours, their distribution, finish and images to keep and share with your painting professional.

3.    Service Agreement signed & Project Scheduled - Once the pricing proposal has been approved, you will be forwarded an electronic Standard Service Agreement to review, sign and return so we can proceed to the next step of scheduling your project into the workflow.
